We have 2 start times in the morning 8.30 and 9.00. The afternoon session begins at 12.30.
We have three whole group story and song sessions at 8.45, 11.30 and 3.15.
At the beginning of the session parents bring children into the Nursery and take them to the classroom. As they arrive, children are free to play in the indoor classroom and staff are at hand to support them to settle in each day. Once all the children are settled and staff have completed registration, children can access the Nursery garden. During their play the children get to know all the adults in the class as they monitor, join in and extend the children’s play. Snack and group time gives key workers the chance to catch up with each child, check on their wellbeing and introduce new things. These sessions are crucial to developing confidence and social skills as well as finding out about and sharing children’s learning.
Children may have additional small group sessions at times for example a cooking activity or series of sessions over a term such as Early talk boost – a programme of learning focused on supporting children to develop effective communication.
Story and song time
Large group story time is an opportunity to bring all the children together. It plays an important role introducing children to the magic of books and songs. While in their futures, as children grow, knowing how to read becomes essential, it is loving books that opens new worlds and fires children’s imagination and curiosity.

3.00 – Session end (for some children)

3.30 – Session end/Monday and Wednesday an additional activity session is available
4.00 – Activity session ends (Monday and Wednesday only)
